Now Whoopi…
You know good and well that that bakery did not care about your political views.
If you haven’t heard, Whoopi Goldberg went on The View and said, “…the place that made these refused to make them [the cakes] for me.” She adds, “..Perhaps they did not like my politics.”
This was clearly a way to defame this small family-owned bakery. Why now? After everything died down from the election results.
She follows up and says, “They said that their ovens had gone down, all kinds of stuff, but folks went and got them anyway, which is why I’m not telling you who made them.”
She didn’t say the bakery’s name. Still, they have a distinctive polka-dotted packaging on the cakes, making it easy for locals to figure out that she was talking about Holtermann’s Bakery in Staten Island.
The bakery’s owner, Jill Holtermann, quickly denied that she turned Goldberg away for political reasons and confirmed that their ovens were indeed down. This lady was at risk of losing her 100-plus-year-old bakery, passed down in her family lineage.
People like Whoopi Goldberg and everyone else on The View abuse their “celebrity status” and spread nonsense ALL the time. They are on this weird track of making things up and trying to convince their audience that its the truth.
I personally hate The View. This is supposed to be a show that showcases ALL VIEWPOINTS. But when everyone thinks the same and likes to fearmonger their viewers, then there’s no point in watching it.
But anyway, her claims backfired and caused the bakery to sell out daily for the past 6 days- from when this situation was brought to the media.
The worst part about this is, its not just Whoopi doing things like this but all liberals alike. We get it, Trump won but that is not a reason to make things up.
Eventually, I’ll do a whole review about The View because this is one of the shows (including Baddies North, East, South, and West, or whatever) that I think should be wiped off the face of this very earth.
